CRS at The Conclave: Trading Places
CRS at The Conclave: Trading Places By Gary Krantz President Air
For In the radio and record industries, as in life, we are often so focused on our own priorities that it is often difficult to see situations from the perspective of the “other guy”. Several years ago, The Country Radio Broadcasters developed an exercise to address this issue, and it became one of the highest rated panels at the Country Radio Seminar. We have been asked to present it this year at The Conclave, and I will be moderating the session. This Trading Places panel will explore the dynamics of the relationship between radio programmer and record industry executive, as well as the dynamics of the relationship between radio market manager and radio programmer. To make the exercise even more interesting, the CRB has recruited some very prominent industry participants. Travis Moon, Air Personality and Music Director of KEEY and Program Director of KQQL-FM will trade places with Tom Baldrica, VP National Promotion, BNA Records and Mick Anselmo, Regional Vice President, Clear Channel Radio will trade places with Mike Peterson Program Director for WUSN, Chicago . These folks will be trading places and looking at issues from each other’s perspective. It is a presentation that you will find to be as entertaining as it is enlightening. Those who have seen it say that the take away includes a greater understanding and empathy that can be carried over to both professional and personal life. The session “CRS at The Conclave; Trading Spaces” will be presented at 2 :30 pm on Friday , July 2 2 . For information on The Conclave and registration information, click on the “CRS at The Conclave” as on the right side of the CRB homepage; www.crb.org. I look forward to seeing you and together furthering CRB’s mission of “Growth Through Sharing” at The Conclave in Minneapolis, July 20- 24. |
