Paul Heine is Executive Editor for Inside Radio.

He has covered all aspects of the radio business for leading industry publications as a reporter and editor. Since 1985, he has written extensively about industry trends, programming, new media, consolidation and the impact of emerging new technologies on radio.
 
Heine joined Billboard Radio Monitor in August 2004 as director of news, music and programming and was promoted to executive editor in January 2006. In August 2006, he was appointed executive editor of Radio & Records, following its acquisition by Billboard parent VNU (now the Nielsen Co.) and the subsequent merger of R&R with Billboard Radio Monitor.
 
Paul has interviewed numerous radio industry leaders, including Howard Stern, Mel Karmazin, John Hogan, Kevin Weatherly, Bob Neil, Bob & Tom, David Field, Jeff Smulyan, Dan Mason, Tom Owens and others. He has been quoted in The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, the Los Angeles Times, the Boston Globe and other publications and has appeared on numerous TV news shows.
 
After graduating from SUNY-Brockport with a B.A. in communications, Paul launched his career in radio on-air at WCMF/Rochester before moving to WBUF/ Buffalo. After programming WGRQ Buffalo, he joined industry trade the Friday Morning Quarterback in 1985, eventually rising to vice president.
 
Heine speaks regularly at radio and media conferences and is a board member of The Conclave, a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching radio programmers and air talent how to best serve in the public interest.
