Siobhán Kierans
Siobhan Kierans is a native of Drogheda, Ireland and has attended Newman College, Dublin and Brown College, Minneapolis.
While strongly connected to radio her background is primarily in television and print journalism. She has wrote, produced, edited and directed for TPT, Comedy Central, The WB Minnesota, The CW Twin Cities and other cable networks.
Currently her voice can be heard on television and radio and her articles on finances and protection can be read in Minneapolis/St. Paul newspapers. She co-chairs the Scholarship Committee with Karol Baumeister and is a proud supporter of WECAN.
In 1995, Siobhan was hired by The WB Minnesota as the Production Coordinator and Director of the Minnesota State Lottery’s nightly drawings. She’s also worked as an Editor and Producer. Currently she’s the Sales Promotions Manager at The WB Minnesota. She has recently won three awards from Pepsi, the Regional TV Station of the Year Award and two national Pepsi awards for Promotion of the Year, 2003 & 2004. Siobhán is very active in the community. In 1998 the St. Patrick’s Association of St. Paul crowned Siobhán Miss Shamrock for the City of St. Paul, and she has been a volunteer/member ever since. Other community organizations she works with are Roseville’s ESL Program, and as a speaker/facilitator for the North Suburban Grief Coalition. In 2004 she wrote a book on Citizenship to aid Minnesota’s most recent arrivals. Siobhán was elected to the Conclave Board on November 12th, and immediately volunteered to assist in chairing the Scholarship Committee. Said Siobhán, “Community is the center of The Conclave’s message and I look forward to integrating this with our Scholarship outreach. I’m looking forward to getting out into the community and helping youngsters who are looking for direction like I was when I discovered The Conclave.” |
